My name is Becky and I’m a book-a-holic. Lucky for me I found a job that revolves around reading books, buying books, and talking about books! That’s right, I’m a children’s librarian! My department serves kids up to 8th grade so I read a lot of middle grade, teen, and young adult fiction. My book addiction is useful too – it got me a BA in English from Michigan State University and a Masters of Library Science from Indiana University.
-Why Libri Dilectio?-
I started this review blog as a way to keep track of what I’m reading and to better do my FAVORITE part of my job, reader’s advisory. I know most librarians will agree with me, but there really is nothing better than finding the right book for the right kid.
The pleasant surprise for me, in starting this interwebs endeavor, was finding out just how big and supportive the book blogging community is! It’s like my computer is full of kindred spirits.
I chose the name of my blog because I wanted something different that would really stand out. Libri Dilectio is Latin for Book Love!
This is my space to share my thoughts, feelings, and, of course, my Libri Dilectio!
